The old-time photo at 0:57 showing the unveiling of the Newfoundland Memorial Park in Beaumont-Hamel, France, is extremely touching. A large number of brave Newfoundlanders lost their lives in the battle. At the time, Newfoundland was still a British colony and not a Canadian province. The caribou was Newfoundland's symbol and it tugs at my heart strings to note the caribou standing at the top of the hill is defiantly looking at the the area where the German troops were amassed. The other Canadian photos in this installment are also outstanding as they are close to areas where I once lived. Keep up the excellent work, The Time Then.

I remember department t stores having free gift wrap - sure was a nice thing - and the boxes were real boxes, not these ones that are folded!!

The vehicle on the right is an REO Model B Runabout, from the REO Motor Car Company. The same company that produced the REO Speed Wagon.

Talk about an “old school” school bus.
