To celebrate 20 years of Disney On Broadway, ABC aired “Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years” on December 14, 2014. The special, hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) gave unprecedented backstage access with the Broadway casts of Disney’s “The Lion King”, “Aladdin” and the North American Tour of “Newsies”.

“Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years,” also features music from the Disney on Broadway catalog, including special musical performances from Sir Elton John, Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen (ABC’s “Nashville”), Ashley Brown (“Mary Poppins”) and Adam Jacobs (“Aladdin”).

This was Walts favorite song. There is a video here on YouTube of one of the Sherman brothers talking about Walt coming into the office on Fridays just to hear the song. They play the song in the Disney short once Upon a studio get ready for an emotional ride there.
