Jesus of Nazareth was the greatest teacher this world has ever seen, and he taught in parables, which are simple stories that illustrate a deeper moral or spiritual truth. Most of time, when Jesus told these stories, he wouldn’t explicitly reveal the greater meaning. But with The Parable of the Sower, he told his disciples exactly what it means. And in Mark 4:13, he basically said that if we don’t understand this parable, we won’t understand any of his others!

In this fully animated short video, we reveal the meaning of this foundational parable using modern language and relevant examples. The video illustrates the four different ways people respond to the Word, explains what it means to produce “Good Fruit”, and encourages Christians to grow closer in their relationship with God and to be faithful in continuing to plant those seeds (sharing God’s Word with others).

When you, like the farmer in the parable, share God’s Word with others—even if it’s just your story of how you decided to trust and follow Jesus—you are pleasing God, who desires that all people will enter into a relationship with Him (2 Peter 3:9), and rejoices in the harvest of faith.
