As someone who has developed HTML emails before and is currently in the email field, this setup is incorrect and will not render well when actually tested in inboxes. You must use tables and inline css.

Another excellant tutorial. 3 years I have been trying to learn the HTML E-mail. Everything seems in pieces couldn't put it all togeter so I never quite understood how to do it.

I tried something similar before but what happened is that in some e-mail clients, the formatting didn't work as designed. Also, even if it looks perfect at first, when the recipient tried to forward it to someone else, the format collapsed all the sudden. I would greatly appreciate if you could share your knowledge about how to avoid such troubles.
