Is inflation really under control? Or have we quietly entered an era where high prices are here to stay?

In this episode of Economic Circuit, we dive deep into the structural forces reshaping our economy—tariffs, reshoring, the end of globalization—and explain why inflation is no longer a temporary glitch but a permanent feature of the system. From policy-driven price increases to the rising cost of resilience, this is the new economic reality—and it’s being designed, not caused.

Whether you're a business owner, investor, or just trying to survive the cost-of-living crisis, this video will change the way you think about the future of money, value, and stability.

🔍 In This Video:

Why inflation is not “transitory” anymore
How tariffs are silently raising everyday prices
The real cost of reshoring and economic nationalism
Why the next recession won’t bring relief
The hidden inflation built into the post-global world

I remember years ago when businesses put a fuel surcharge on services because gas had hit record high numbers in the US. When the price of gas wound back down to previous levels, those surcharges stayed much longer, pure profit for the company and a tax on the poor who relied on those services. Inflation will go up, no doubt.

How’s domestic manufacturing going to magically fill the void when the infrastructure to do so barely exists? It takes years for new plants to be built, and the cost of building them is going to skyrocket because of the tariffs. Additionally any new plant built is going to heavily rely on automation, so a steady stream of jobs would be negligible. These policies are being haphazardly implemented without the foresight to account for the grave implications that are to come.

The problem with narcissists, they’re incapable of being wrong.

We used to spend $250 a week on groceries three years ago. Now the same groceries are $355! It is only going to get worse now that Trump applied tariffs.

Wonder how many non-voters don’t think this is all their fault?

How will America service its debts if its economy is focused only on domestic consumption ? That's the unanswered question here. Alongside the fact that large as it is America does not have all the resources it needs. When you understand that you understand why it is suddenly pivoting towards stealing resources from countries like Greenland and Ukraine.

A few things:
1) your analysis is very clear, but you are doing yourself a disservice with the melodramatic Blade Runner background music.

2) uncontrolled corporate greed is what is baking in the base case for pricing. Geopolitical shenanigans are merely a red herring sideshow to justify an economic environment controlled by corporations.

3) if your Patreon channel has sharper focused articles, then does that mean the content here is by design defective. And if that is the case, then are you not also with your designed inferiority part of the problem of reduced quality at a lower price point, which is ironic because that is what you are saying has been the root cause of our weakness today.

Inflation will only increase thanks to tariffs.

The one true factor is greed. Even if all the issues that is causing inflation are solved...greed will ensure the high prices remain.

As simple example...graphics cards... things went haywire with crypto currency then there was covid, then supply and demand....Prices went up 300+%.

And now, all those problems have basically been solved but yet, the market prices of GPUs are stuck at 150+% markup, because of straight up greed.

Once retailers realize the barest highest over-price...that is their selling point.

And this will be everything from beans to bullets. Medical costs will become unsustainable for most Americans.

America's poor will become destitute, middle class will become poor. The rich will become richer.

Crime will skyrocket as once law abiding citizens have no choice as their children starve or get sick.

And there is ONE person to blame. Donald J. Trump.

All the very best.

Cheers.

The problem with inflation is that it never really goes down. Corporations aren't regulated in the slightest and there is zero political will to even try.

Actually this was also true in the past. In the great depression prices also went up cause most companies struggled to survive and so kept raising prices to squeeze as much out of their shrinking markets as possible which of course shrunk those markets even faster. This was especially so in Germany which is why one of the first economic acts of the Nazi's was to impliment strict price controls.

Trump wants to bring back manufacturing jobs. Why ? Unemployment was at 4.1% (which was pretty good). The problems were not identified correctly.

One of the most expensive things to do nowadays is to go out and eat. I'm sorry man but I'm not paying 15 dollars for 3 tacos and a drink. Not happening ever again, it can all rot. The price of soda has absolutely skyrocketed like hell. The price of getting anything with meat is insane, it makes you triple take at the price of things. Especially at restaurants. I'm going to tell my friends I'm not going to go out anymore or if I do I'm going to go out once or twice a month and that's it.
