What's a Ruben's tube?
A Rubens' tube is an antique physics instrument for demonstrating acoustic standing waves in a tube.
Invented by German physicist Heinrich Rubens in 1905, it shows the relationship between sound waves and sound pressure, as a primitive oscilloscope.

Keeping in the vein of correctness, it's more like a *parametric EQ. This isn't graphic. Individually isolated frequency bands that each have a roll off slope combined with reactive valve ports responding to frequency amplitude to gas flow rate would be graphic. And super cool to see. 😎
