Do YOU Group Hike? Big Turnout for First Day Hike on the Ice Age Trail

This group hike was organized by the Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. They got a big turnout for this First Day Hike on the Ice Age Trail!

A First Day Hike takes place on January 1st. The Ice Age Trail Alliance hosts First Day Hikes throughout Wisconsin to raise awareness about, and funds for maintaining, the Ice Age Trail. This hike, in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Lapham Peak Unit, featured guided hikes of three different lengths. The event was family-friendly and pet-friendly and was a big success!

What a big turnout down there. Not sure how many showed up this year at the Chaffee Creek segment as sadly I couldn't make it, but last year was maybe 10 or so people that did. Great group of likeminded people.

Excellent turnout! I don’t think we have anything like it in our area. So much fun to have a big group to celebrate and hike the trail with on NewYear’s Day. The trail looks cold but great for January! 👌👍👍❄❄❄
