The one thing about most Turkish national squads: They get better rapidly as they keep playing together. Turkey lacks a proper ecole/school of soccer; games and players are mostly spontaneous. But once they settle in to a playing style, they can hurt. But against Austria, no one in Turkey is really hopeful :) It is more of a wishful thinking!

Turkey line up includes players who are booked and missing. Had to stop watching there, because at that point the analysis should be moot. Vastly different team with Bardakci in and Calhanoglu out, which even might result in a tactical shift where Guler's false nine to be replaced with more of a traditional 9 in Tosun of Everton fame. At least that's what I'd do. Let Austria take the possession and fumble, and rely on penetrating wingers that they certainly have. This might be Turkey's sole elite offensive option anyway.
