The legendary Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, was asked, "if you could have any other voice, besides your own, who would it be", he replied, Burton Cummings ❣❣❣ *Such a Canadian Treasure* ❣❣❣

I did a small plumbing job at his house back in the late seventies and before I left, he gave me a most gracious tour of his home and room where he had his gold/silver/etc records on the walls. What a genuinely nice person he was to the guy who came to fix his plumbing.

The man has one the most distinctive voices in Rock music and wrote some great songs with the Guess Who and his solo career. He still tours and sounds fantastic, a National treasure here in Canada.

You’ve lived a sheltered life if you haven’t heard Burton Cummings sing. Best ever. The voice of The Guess Who

Let's get it straight once and for all and give the man his due. He is the greatest rock/pop/blues singer the world has ever had. He has a little of all the greats in is vocal toolbox but has his own unique and distinctive style. He can sing anything and has the imagination and speed, range and power with unmatched surgical precision to make every song he sings totally his own. Nowone else has ever sounded like him.

You don't have to be a voice expert to know Burton has the pipes!

It's amazing that even when he gets higher and increases his volume, he's still in complete control of the melody.

Let’s not forget that he is a classically trained pianist, on top of all his other attributes… and gorgeous ❤

He has such a recognizable voice. So unique. He sings without a single strain in his voice... smooth.

I'm an old Canadian who has listened to Burton since the 70's. I always thought his voice was as unique and good as Elvis. Love your reviews and you have a beautiful smile. It makes me happy.

I saw him in concert many times when I was young. This song was always important to me because of the words and the energy. When things weren't going well, I would play this song loud. From force and energy and the soft quite strength of the song, I find my resolve and determination.

What I find most astounding about his vocals is his eloquent vibrato. It is natural and unique to him. Along with his smooth nasal tones you will hear that same vibrato in many of his other songs. A trademark. This is Burton Cummings.

We Love Burton's voice! Seen him live a few times, most recently in Wasaga Ontario Canada past March 2024. He's still got it, nailed all the notes like he always could! His Birthday Dec.31.1947, he will be 77 this Dec. Robert Plants fav voice!

In my humble opinion, one of the greatest singers of the rock era and completely underrated. I really appreciate his enunciation also - you don't need the liner notes to know the lyrics. To study further, listen to the Guess Who song UNDUN (The B side of These Eyes) then Dream Of A Child from his solo work. I have seen him twice with the Guess Who and twice as a solo artist and the good news is that he is still out there doinig it and doing it well.

Burton's timing is absolutely perfect, with each note and syllable of the vocals. A less talented singer could never even make this work.

Seen him live too many times to count and he still sounded angelic. Tells amazing stories as well. Such a Canadian treasure.

Burton is Canadian, but in Australia we get songs from all over the world, and this song was a big radio hit. I remember hearing it crackling out of my parents' mono radio cassette player, circa 1976. Music was so incredibly melodic then, and artists couldn't hide behind auto-tune.

He's one of the very, very few who unfailingly gives me chills--one of the GREATEST voices in recent memory.., , .
