Majority of Canadian Actors and Actresses lose their accent when they pursue acting

You know what would make this video actually engaging? A clip of him talking.

He’s a nice guy. I met him once at a gym and he said I looked familiar, asked if we’d worked on a project together. I said “no, I just have one of those faces.” So I said the same thing back, “you look familiar, just can’t put a finger on where I know you from…” He laughed and said, “yeah, I have one of those faces too.”

So it’s not fake, his voice actually turned into that…. Important distinction

I'm British and I can tell you that a lot of the famous British actors that you know all have "fake" accents. At drama school in the UK they teach them to remove dialect accents and use something called R.P., which is a standardised neutral-sounding English.
So actors as diverse as Peter O'Toole, Ben Kingsley, Patrick Stewart and Daniel Craig all changed their accents when they started drama school.
Patrick Stewart sounded like Sean Bean who kept his Yorkshire accent. This massively affected the parts Sean Bean gets as he has a localised working-class accent instead of the "standard" R.P.

So this is not remotely unusual in the UK or America.
Actors remove local ticks and standardise their accents all the time. Practically all Canadians do it.

The clickbait is strong in this video

Having a weird accent is completely different to having a "fake voice".

His VOICE isn't fake, his accent is contrived.

It’s not fake if he’s no longer forcing it

Not "completely fake." If he started emulating Brando at a very young age, that's probably his natural accent now.

When my late husband was a little boy what he heard at home were French and Austrian German. Because his parents were Austrian and they had brought him to Paris to get away from nazi's. Soon they had to leave for Spain, than Mexico. By the time I knew him Mexico was absolutely his native tongue and he was perfectly fluent and English pretty good in German but couldn't really speak French. And that was the language he grew up speaking!

If at a young age you immerse yourself in a new language, and you give up the old language, the new language becomes your language. Similarly if you don't like your accent as a child, emulate a different accent, after decades--that's just your accent. At least that would be my guess.

I myself was raised by New Englanders in California. So I sound like a California girl raised by New Englanders. And always have. I do try not to sound like a 50 year old Valley Girl, as some of my acquaintances from high school Still do
