Dated 1912. The six-page parchment certificate with exquisite, handwritten calligraphy, partially gilt, bearing the hand-drawn noble coat of arms in colour, protective silk paper sheets. Franz Joseph I hereby elevates "Ittebei Kiss Antalt" (Antalt Kiss from Srpski Itebej) to the rank of baron. At the bottom, the emperor's original signature in ink in Hungarian, together with the date "Bécs, 1912. évi márczius hó 22." (Vienna, 22 March 1912). In the original, elaborately designed folder (dimensions 39 x 30 x 4 cm), covered in light brown leather with metal fittings and a crowned Hungarian coat of arms in coloured enamel, the flyleaf in champagne-coloured, watered silk. Attached to round gold cord, the Hungarian wax seal (torn, the edge trimmed) in a partially gilt, metal capsule with lavish relief decoration (diameter 11 cm). Slightly damaged, signs of age. An extremely rare patent of nobility, written in Hungarian, and a fabulously designed, calligraphic masterpiece of inimitable quality.
