Playing amateur under 15s or 17s in Wales 20 years ago we got charged £5 for yellow £10 for red so no refs ever even booked anyone as people would kick off. If you wanted a transfer you had to pay a £10 transfer fee for yourself lol.

As a Swede, we only have to pay for a direct red on some occasions, to take a yellow is totally free

I feel like yellow/red cards are so rare in youth grassroots football though. I honestly don’t think I was ever carded in like 10 years of playing 😂

I got a £60 fine once because I got sent off for violent conduct but I had no idea the millionaires at the top of the game are paying the exact same fines. It's ridiculous

Fun fact: My dad while being involved with my brother's team got sent off after the match, because he asked why his player was sent off for a push in the back. He reluctantly paid the £50, then months later the referee was banned for match fixing for that team.
