This is true. My husband loves spoiling me. Every week he says, “what can I do for you honey? Can I buy you anything? At first I would say (when we were bf/gf) “no thank you I already have your card I can just go and get it.” For him that was like pushback because although his money goes into my bank account, he still wanted to take me to the stores himself and feel proud to physically go and spend on me and see the excitement in me. I just let him lead because it excites him to see me happy.
