President Chimp dominance display - Tonia Cochran - Inala Nature Tours

Tonia has just returned bubbling with enthusiasm from her recent trip to Uganda. She was one of a group of 8 guides and authors from around the world to be invited as a visitor to the African Bird Expo which was sponsored by Bird Uganda Safaris with the assistance of the Uganda Tourism Board and the Uganda Wildlife Authority. “This was a life-changing trip for me and being able to walk in such close proximity to Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzees and White Rhinos and to meet the wonderful local people that fiercely protect these animals and their habitat is an amazing privilege. The birdlife there is also astounding (over 1000 species) and we saw around 430 species and heard a further 20 species during our two-week trip. Bird highlights included great views of Shoebill and multitudes of bee-eaters, sunbirds, barbets, hornbills, turacos and weavers. We were even lucky enough to see the near-endemic Orange Weaver. My heartfelt thanks to my dear friend Herbert for making this trip possible and for the amazing humanitarian work he does for his beloved country”.
Needless to say, Inala is offering a group tour to Uganda in November 2020.
