Paralympics: India win gold and silver in shooting; PM Modi hails Manish Narwal, Singhraj Adhana

Enlarging India's medal kitty at the ongoing Paralympic games in Japan's Tokyo, Manish Narwal and Singhraj Adhana secured podium positions at the men's P4 mixed 50m pistol SH1 shooting event. Narwal won gold and in the process set a paralympics record with a score of 218.2 in the final. Adhana won silver - his second medal after a bronze in the P1 men's 10m air pistol SH1 event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted congratulations to both the shooters. Watch the full video for more.

Singhraj and Avani Lekhra are the only two shooters in India as well as probably in This year's paralympics to have stood on the podium twice. This is how China started its journey to become the superpower of sports. Hope our country grows well like this. We have better players than this also, who are on the top ranks but some coulld not represent India either due to the Pandemic or maybe sponsoring issues, like Saina Nehwal and Deepa Karmakar. Hope to see a better and much greater performance at Los Angeles- Olympics and Paralympics games of 2028
