What If season 3 is going to be the final season of the Marvel and Disney plus series but I feel like this is such a missed opportunity and there are so many more MCU stories they could have told.

One concept I’d love to see is a crayon-drawn episode where a kid finds a reality stone and changes the MCU to the type of fanfic world a kid would make. Just hearing the actors talk like a 6 year old would and logic only a kid that age would make of would just be so fun!

The main problem with WhatIf is it is supposed to continuously explore wild ideas, but Marvel doesn't have people with ideas.

What if should have lasted wayyy longer than 3 seasons imo, since there are infinite possibilities than there should have been more than 26 episodes. Here are some ideas they could've used:

. What if the white queen intervened
. What if thanos dusted the other half
. What if loki won
. What if the Eternals intervened
. What if the xmen participated in the battle of new York
. What if ultron wasn't evil
. What if the scarlet witch awakened earlier
. What if the Valkyrior survived
. What if hydra won
. What if Galactus invaded
. What if hydra found the power stone
. What if ant man was lost
. What if the avengers never formed
. What if enchantress attacked asgard
. What if The midnight sons were assembled
. What if the events of the MCU happen on hala instead of earth

Why do they need a captain carter and kahori follow up. Like I swear this is only ending because they have no confidence in marvel anthology and think they have to have tied together season finales, but since no one likes them they think the entire concept is a bust when in reality it’s just because of the aforementioned finales and the fact that the majority of episodes in season 1 and 2 follow only core avengers or guardians related characters (and some like happy saves Christmas and kahori are barely even “what if this changed”. And this is coming from someone who actually enjoyed the kahori episode

My wager is they're cancelling THIS what if, but have plans to being back the concept in the future. They might not think it's up to standards, doesn't align with other projects or something like that. Since now there is a dedicated animations studios, they'll probably shift focus to other shows.

My bet is that they'll be making a new what-if show after the Avengers event, shifting animation, VAs, etc. But that THIS what if is gonna end.

Because the overarching story doesn’t really affect most episodes, I personally like it. Just my opinion, but I love the overall story and the anthology stories. I don’t understand why What If has to end. Just complete this overall story, and start another one. I think it’s so that they can do Marvel Zombies, but I’d personally prefer What If to that, just for the variety. As much range as each zombie episode could have, What If doesn’t have to have any thematic ties episode to episode, you can have a gritty sci-fi cop show one episode, and a holiday superhero die-hard spoof in another. I don’t expect Zombies to have that range, and I think it will likely be 1 continuous story, similar to The Walking Dead. Could be wrong, that’s just my impression. I do hope they change their mind, or create another anthology show. Even so, it’s hard to see something else with the sheet amount of range What If has.

I do hope there's some kind of spiritual continuation for this series. Between Doomsday and Secret Wars it'd be really fun to have a "Battleworlds" series in this style that evokes the 2015 Secret Wars event comics

Well they are trying to wrap up the multiverse saga, so I guess you can view this as the beginning of that.

This show should’ve been titled “The Watcher” first, then change it to “The Watcher and the Guardians of the Multiverse” or something, because besides part of season 1, this show didn’t feel like a What If series

"What if" the perfect narrative vehicle to try stories without canonical restraints, so naturally they put canonical restraints on it 😂😭

I understand why they make connected stories… it almost worked in season 1, ignoring the fact that The Watcher could have chosen literally anyone else. But season 2’d ending was a complete mess.

I agree What If should continue. I'm still upset we won't be getting a What If episode focusing on What If the Avengers that weren't blipped were blipped instead. So we see Endgame play out with Bucky, Falcon, Spidey, Wanda etc leading the charge.
