iPhones have always had the ability to check battery health from the Settings but that's one feature Android phones have been missing. Not anymore, a new app lets you check the battery health on Android phones.

The app is aBattery and along with Shizuku, you can use this to check battery health on Android phones.

This works only on Android 14 right now but with the Android 14 update coming soon, this should be useful!

I never understood why it's not a standard feature on Android. It's been on iOS for years

Samsung leaves the chat! Samsung Knox joins the chat and blocks the battery access.

This just benefits the OEMs & 2nd hand phone shop owners.

It just increases anxiety among users and if it becomes official, it will lower the phone's resale value as the shop owners will use their own metrics to lower the phone's price.

OEMs benefit as more people will replace their phone quickly due to anxiety and fearing the phone's value getting lower.

iOS users are already suffering from this.

Accu battery also provides battery health. Your just have to charge your phone from 15% to 95% post app installation

I don't need to know the battery health as long as my phone is working perfectly fine.😊

I found it on play store but if you can't find it, it probably means it's region locked

My secondary phone is samsung s9 and it's been in use since past 5 years and still works like brand new. And have seen iphone users after one year of usage. Battery health drops down to 85%

Well android and iphone user had a different mindset, most iphone user are too concerned about battery life is because it could be either you wish to use it more than 3 years or you have to trade in for new iphone so battery health is crucial for a better trade in price and of course iPhone dont come in cheap so user tend to maximise it's usage, but for android 3 years usage with a third of an iphone price is actually good enough to move on for a new model unless you go for a flagship model, anyway like it or not, battery are destined to degrade when it's pass 2 years of usage.
