What the injection thing actually did most likely was do a blood test to find out if Riley (the player character) is infected. Though it probably had a different purpose, though it clearly doesn't inject Khara (said infection, it's a bacteria).

Pro tip! You dont need the seamoth MK3 moudle to get to lost river. If you dont have it, you can use the prawn suit, with 0 upgrades!

Using the reinforced windows help alot for hull intergridy. Bulkheads help from flooded water spreading to whole base
