Lyrics:
Is anyone out there listening?
I’ve lost myself
Deep in the algorithm of someone else
And under new conditions
I might find that I was always perfectly alone

Can somebody walk me home?
To pearly gates
The universe becomes a wave
And crashes down
Forever’s not enough
And under new conditions
You are not alone

Is anyone out there listening
I’ve lost myself
But there is a song that echoes like morning bells
And as a distant memory shoots right through me
I am left so perfectly alone

Can somebody walk me home?
To pearly gates
The universe becomes a wave
And crashes down
Forever’s not enough
And under new conditions
We are not alone

And when I get better someday
I’ll see myself in you
The way it’s always been
And under new conditions I might find that
We will always walk each other home

Can somebody walk me home?

This song honestly encapsulates so much, it’s unbelievable. The bittersweet truths of growth. The messy but necessary process of finding yourself after feeling lost in someone or something else. The difficult task of redefinition. The loneliness. The uncertainty. The learning. The hopefulness. I needed this, thank you YTG.

I'm very thankful for my son introducing me to some great alternative bands and these guys are one of them. What a brilliant song. I'm 67 now and it bothers me that a lot of people my age think the music today is inferior to the music of our day. All I have to say is that listen to bands like this. I'm sure most would change their minds.

When Sameer sings the part "Forever's not enough" and hits that higher note on "enough" it sounds so beautiful that it makes me cry, thinking about my Mother passing in 2020. Thank you Young the Giant.

I dont think this comment will get out to many, but I really relate to this song. I’m 25 now and for the last two years I’ve felt lost and hopeless- I love life but been faced with another identity crisis. I’m finding my way back but it’s been tough. However not tough enough to not keep trying. Which is my advice to anyone listening. You are never alone with the feeling❤️❤️

Feels like a reference to the Ram Dass quote "we are all just walking each other home" which is a pretty neat layer to add!

The process of finding yourself is never easy. Let alone trying to do so while being a ubiquitous being.

Good luck on the journey ❤

As a Venezuelan immigrant, I tell you, this hits hard. I'm in tears. Been a fan of your music for 10 years and this album feels like a gift for my soul. Thank you. I really hope you can come to south america one day.

This song came out when my beautiful father was dying last year. I have listened to it countless times. It helped me through a very sad and emotional and exhausting time.

Beautifully written and beautifully performed. ❤

I love this. My husband passed away a few months ago and I certainly find my self in new conditions. And this song helps so much. ❤️

This album means so much to me already. I can never help but to be moved by each piece of art young the giant creates. The emotional core of each song from their debut album to now is just as loud or speaks louder than the words at times. It’s revolutionary. I truly believe that. That’s why Young the Giant will always be my favorite band of all time, and forever the most meaningful.🥹❤️✨

If you’ve been paying attention: It’s hard to keep up with all the insanely good material being pumped out into our collective consciousness. Thank you YTG for contributing to the blossoming of our culture.
