You’ve been calling out this scenario since they expanded the playoff and I still don’t think people fully understand that we’re about to watch 7-5 conference champs or G5 average conference champs get in over 9-3 SEC or B10 teams with much tougher schedules.

U need to imagine that ohio st Oregon usc Penn st Georgia texas Oklahoma texas a&m Miami Clemson Kansas st Utah Kansas Oklahoma st could all end the regular season with 1 loss or less. even more crazy is u could add iowa, Rutgers, Indiana, Georgia tech, smu, Virginia, Arizona, and Cincinnati to that list all 22 teams from the power 4 could go into conference championship weekend with 1 loss or less

There is way way more INCENTIVE to win the conference championship to get the 1st round bye plus an extra week prior to the championship game..
It's a NO BRAINER !!
