Rc planes is my midlife crisis. It has been an amazing time learning how to fly, crash, and fix my planes as well as making life time friends. Thanks for showing this side of aviation enthusiasts. As a great man said what could possibly go wrong.

Thanks for featuring the RC Hobby Jimmy! Especially with some knowledgeable and skilled pilots. Great field as well. Wish my RC club's was that nice. Next time try to arrange for some 3D Heli flying. That's a real treat as well!

I've been a member in my local RC AMA field for the past couple of years. you'll find nice people like this there nearly 99.9% of the Time. Started out with foam, now worked myself up to the balsa. MORE RC PLANE CONTENT!!

We miss Pete here in the Omaha area. Glad to see he is at it as hard as ever, and with a much longer flying season!

When I was a kid, my grandparents took us camping on weekends. The campground had its own RC airplane runway. We would go watch the gentlemen fly their planes. One guy had a homemade flying triangle! It was by far the fastest and coolest plane out there! Even as a young kid, I was highly impressed. Thanks for pulling that awesome memory out of my brain!

I got started in Aviation at 13 with RC. Been doing that ever since. Just bought my first full-scale plane last fall and working on getting it ready to fly this summer.

Jimmy, look up Ramy RC. This man is a master craftsman when it comes to building RC planes. I just saw his latest video. He made an RC Cirrus Vision jet.

As an R/C flight enthusiast, I can attest to the fun and frustration of crashing a plane that i put hundreds of hours into building. But it's part of the game. But they do make a lot of small fun tough airplanes that are cheap and easy to fly that you don't have to worry about crashing.
Great video Jimmy, looks like you had a really fun day.

I’m an rc pilot. It’s not if it will crash, but when…. What goes up comes down! Acceptance of fate. Which was a great life teaching tool for my kids when they were young

Pete Rosas from Council Bluffs IA !!! Jimmy that guy was the first one I ever watched fly big planes and that was back around 2002! Blew my mind with his 35 and 40% Carden Edge 540's. Nice flying Pete! Good to know your still tearing up the sky.
BTW, where is this field at where this was recorded?

Oh my goodness, this all brings back memories of when I was a teenager and flew my kit model made entirely of balsa wood. I covered the wings with fabric and painted it all up but mine was control Wire flying. Going around in a circle, getting dizzy. I loved it but I watched these guys flying their RC models which were like these, just amazing. Thanks for sharing this, Jimmy. My flying days were performed near South Bend and Mishawaka Indiana. A mall occupies the field where I used to watch the RC models fly. 😂😂😂

That Laser brings back some great memories, I got to help Leo put the "shovels" on his back in the 80s in NJ.

Take a look at the large scale gliders/sailplanes. Including up to 1/2 scale with near 30' wingspans. :)
