Snowkiting Across Greenland — In the name of Science

Показать описание
The Arctic is warming three times faster than anywhere else on Earth. If all of Greenland’s ice were to melt, it would be enough to raise global sea levels by 7 meters. For a month, explorer Matthieu Tordeur and glaciologist Dr. Heïdi Sevestre embarked on a groundbreaking expedition to study the effects of climate change in Greenland. Instead of relying on heavy, mechanized, and polluting scientific expeditions, they opted for kite-skiing—an agile, zero-emission way to travel. Their journey took them 1,500 km from Ilulissat on the west coast to the Inuit community of Qaanaaq in the far north. Welcome to an extraordinary scientific mission where the fate of our planet is on the line.
