Calling that articulations scheme "modern" is wild. It might not have always been consistent but we've had decently possible Transformers since Beast wars. Those old basic figures had ball joints everywhere.

Idk what was preventing figures from being designed like this earlier. Like we had all the tech. We’ve had it for centuries. And you’d think it would be common sense that additional joints wouldn’t hinder the transformations. It boggles me lmao

I got this last year, and while it's a touch unweildy, the Sharkticons and boats/subs (I lean submarine) is so natural. I love his vibe, and it's nice to get an aquatic bot every now and then.

Archer has said the original plan was to make him turn into the Nemesis, then they realized how comical at that size it would be so he became a shark-thing instead

Mine has one misaligned paint app on his knee. I've considered getting another but I'm not getting rid of my original, ever. It's my stand-in for the Nemesis, since that's what he was loosely based on.

Sentinel Prime is my Ark, being that his shuttle mode was based on the one from the 86 movie.
