After a sold-out run in London's West End, Russia's legendary Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre makes a triumphant return to New York City Center with its award-winning production of Anton Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA.
The production features a star-studded cast of Russia's most acclaimed actors: Sergey Makovetskiy, Liudmila Maksakova, and Vladimir Simonov. Director Rimas Tuminas injected his hallmark "tableaus of striking beauty and grace" (The New York Times) into this fresh take on Chekhov's timeless classic, while remaining faithful to the long-standing Stanislavski theatrical tradition.
