Great Flood Myths Across Cultures - The Similarities Will SHOCK You

The story of Noah's Ark, a foundational narrative in the biblical tradition, tells of a great flood sent by God to cleanse the world of its wickedness, sparing only Noah, his family, and pairs of every animal species, preserved in a massive ark. This account, deeply ingrained in Judeo-Christian culture, is not unique; remarkably similar flood stories are found in the lore of diverse ancient civilizations worldwide. From the Epic of Gilgamesh in Mesopotamia to the tales of Manu in Hindu mythology, these narratives share all the core elements: a cataclysmic flood, divine intervention, and the survival of a select few. This prevalence across distinct cultures raises intriguing questions about their origins and truths. Could these stories be disparate interpretations of a single, monumental historical event? This exploration aims to delve into the parallel flood narratives across civilizations, comparing them with the biblical account of Noah's Ark. By examining similarities and variances in these tales, alongside archaeological and historical evidence, the objective is to consider the possibility of these myths stemming from a real global flood event, a prospect that tantalizes historians, archaeologists, and theologians alike in the quest to unravel one of humanity's most enduring mysteries.

In every single culture across the world and in every faith there is a very similar story of the great flood. The how, who and what are not exactly the same but the basic premise remains constant.... A great catastrophic event occurred in which most of mankind was destroyed and only a few souls survived from which mankind as we know it today was "reborn"...

THANK YOU for including the myths of often ignored cultures such as AFRICAN, POLYNESIAN AND MAORI civilizations. So often these cultures are totally ignored or given little attention in the important discussions of human experience and history. Your inclusions of these important cultures is GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I was just thinking "ya know damn near every culture has a major flood myth I wonder what's that all about right?" After years of forgetting about this channel's existence fate once again leads me to this channel.

Randall Carlson and Graham Hancock know an awful lot about this. For a different perspective I suggest Funny Olde World channel by Jahannah James. She is scary smart and funny too. She is part of the community working to find out who Civilization X was, the probable precursor to the Atlantean culture, which was most likely destroyed at the beginning of the Great Flood.

The Veda’s speak of potentially trillions of years of human existence. I don’t believe the deluge was the first time humanity was almost driven out of existence, nor will it be the last 🙏🏽

There are over 20, 000 flood/ creation myths that span the entire globe. It's all the same story taking place in different locations.
Yahweh = Jahovah = Jupiter = Zeus = Baal = Amon = Ahura Mazda = Thor = Indra....
Secularized metaphysics is what people today call religion. Ancient occult (hidden) Science, alchemists. Our view of history was written by the winner, and is not the truth. There was civilization before the younger dryas that was more advanced than we are. Ancient Egypt, India, the mound builders etc. knew of these long lost sciences we are just now rediscovering. They also were much more in tune with nature. Just my humble opinion.

I wouldn't be surprised if other civilizations survived to record their experience of the great flood.

The story of the Great Flood is more than allegory. Allegorical interpretation is what seems to be prevalent today. We can't put ourselves into the shoes and skins of people who lived thousands of years ago. they kept records in oral tradition at first, then documented them in other forms later on. In some case much later on. That does not mean that the stories are nothing more than morality tales. There is much more to them than that.

It's pronounced (Mah-Knew)..

We have the same creation story in my culture- I am a Native American, specifically I am an enrolled member of the Ojibiwe - Turtle Mountain Reservation..

Our Creation story involves a being named "Giccimanidoo" Manidoo (Mah-Knee-Doo)

All creation stories come from the same event just miles apart. I can see that now.

First, thank you folks for creating these excellent and thoughtful presentations. They help us piece together our origins. My best sense, currently, is that space aliens came to Earth and variously managed, enslaved, guided, abused, supported, and taught us. They also manipulated our genes to suit their perceived desired and needs. We had a natural feeling for preserving Nature and helping each other. We were taught war and harming each other by these demigods. This is where religion came from. Those who rose above and attained to higher Realization---the saints, sages, great yogis, and other Divine Realizers (Krishna, Gautama, Ramana Maharshi, Adi Da Samraj), etc.)---appeared periodically to help guide us into real Humanity, beyond subhumanity. And, of course, this story is not over. Hopefully, thru guidance of Wisdom, as in the books Not-Two Is Peace and Prior Unity, we can and will finally bring a lasting peace to our otherwise beautiful world.

According to ancient scriptures of current Dravidian people who were the first people in the indian subcontinent history.

There used to be another continent which used to connect 🇲🇬 🇮🇳 🇱🇰 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 which is "Kumari Kandam"
Many archeologists also said same thing that this countries were together in ancient times, they called it "Lumeria"

According to Abrahamic mythologies the first human "Adam" also came to 🇱🇰 which also matches with the Hindu Mythology that the first civilization came here and they spread in the world.

We don't know what happened to the place but we can relate this incident with the "Great Flood" which actually caused the place to go under water.
The next thing we get is the Indus Valley Civilization which was also made by Dravidian People.
This also indicates that the Dravidian people after losing their land went to more north and created the IVC.
Although that was also destroyed due to the Aryan Migrations

The reason for so many great flood stories is because it happened many times as the ice melted! There is evidence that huge lakes would form near the lip and eventually break free, sending huge amounts of water through the lands. The ice sheets were 2 miles thick and stretched across the top part of globe.

We never had flood or famine..
now we do. When giants arrived
Chopped off the trees, polluted our rivers, cut all food supplies.
Now a very fertile land become a foreign waste.
