I love how much busier and prosperous Pai is just a year later. I am in Pai now and there are 6+ mobile street food meal vendors down the alley they are standing in at the 9 minute mark.

There are night markets in every towns every cities in Thailand. Some places have morning market also. Variety of foods to try. Explore in every towns you go. Enjoy eating.

I enjoyed your food tour. Yes, I think I'd avoid that mango sticky rice since the combination just doesn't appeal to me, and I am open to most new things foodwise. I love spicy food but my experience in Thailand was that they tend to overdo it. Have you come across those fiery baby aubergines yet?

I see that you are one of the first foreigners who dislike mango sticky rice. While the YouTube duo "Sun Kissed Bucket List" liked it most. It's normal for us to dislike food that we are not familiar with, As a Thai, I don't like all kinds of European food. It depends on the familiarity of each person. I'd recommend trying to open up to new things. We may not like it, but let's not assume that mixing fruit with something else won't taste good at all. Because you might turn off the chance of something delicious you might just eat the first time.
