What is this?
This is the Hanvon GoGoBird Eagle. It’s a radio controlled ornithopter, which means it has wings that flap like a bird to propel itself through the air. It comes as a Ready-To-Fly package, with minimal assembly required.

How much does it cost?
MSRP is $200 and should be available for purchase around September 2021.

Is it worth the price?
If you want an ornithopter, yes. This appears to be the most affordable and user-friendly ornithopter for its size and price.

Is it any good?
Yes. It is well designed, made with high quality materials, durable, and very fun.

Is it easy to fly?
Yes. It uses a barometer to maintain a fairly consistent altitude, and is gyro-stabilized so it is hard (but not impossible) to crash. Launching is the hardest part.

What’s bad about it?
The “return to home” and “circling” features do not work very well. Flight movements are not very precise, mostly due to the nature of flapping wings. The remote controller feels cheap and is not very precise.

Why buy this?
Mostly for fun, especially if you are interested in ornithopters. This may also be a great introduction to RC aircraft since it is easy to fly, durable, and there is no propeller to cut your fingers off.

IMPORTANT NOTE: What you are about to see is a preproduction model. The finished production version may be different (hopefully better) than the version you see in this video.

dont you adjust the sliding weights on the leading edge of the wings to turn more ? I have not flown yet as its been too windy.

Impressed with the quality on this one, looks cool, and it's pretty dang tough it seems. Of course the first thing I looked at is which fpv cam can I mount on this thing. Should be able to mount an AIO akk or something. More directions maybe? Anyway, great vid Adam you got this down. I never watch and complain about the view or you getting bad shots, etc. and do enjoy cracking up and having fun with it all too. ☮️ Wheelchair John in Idaho USA 😎

Thanks for the video Adam...I did buy one of these but I wish it had a glide feature(or could glide at all) The fact that you can't stop the wings instantly also kinda sucks...wish it had a better speed control.

The low battery thing might be because you use 1.2V AAA batteries for the controller, won't happen if you use 1.5V.
