Borgia Canal+ - Behind Blue Eyes by Rob Giles

Borgia series by Canal+ to the song Behind Blue Eyes. The singer is Rob Giles, though the Who did the original.

Is it obvious I have a Borgia obsession? This is actually the first show or movie I saw of Cesare Borgia. Though I played Assassin's Creed I didn't really get into Cesare until I watched this series and then I watched Showtime, Los Borgia, etc.

The best historical portrayal of a time period ever built as a series.  Phenomenal performances all the way through from the cast.

True. No other Borgia portrayal even comes close. Now, I don't know if the real Cesare as as awesome as Mark's portrayal... but it doesn't matter, really.

Season 2 ended in France a week ago so you can found and buy the DVD online, that's what I did because I couldn't wait neither.
If you want more of Mark Ryder, watch the beginning of the movie Five Minutes of Heaven, but that's true, we cannot find a lot about him... yet ;)

Mark Ryder is what is known as Black Irish = dark hair, fair skin and blue eyes.

YES, this is the version you wanna watch. The Showtime version, in my opinion, is nowhere near as good. This version doesn't hold back at all and really gives you a feel for how harsh those times really were. It's more historically accurate, also. ANd the cast is superb!

True. Showtime is more flash and C/L is better developed but that's about it.

It really depends on the person. I enjoyed certain scenes from this version but I absolutely loved Showtimes version. Neither is completely historically accurate though, BBC version is good if you like historical accuracy and don't mind less handsome actors. Certain things like Cesare/Mark's baby scenes and Juan/Lucrezia thing bug me, but if you don't mind historical inaccuracy it can be enjoyable. Showtime takes liberties with Ursula (fictional character), Giovanni Sforza, and the French.

I watched it on netflix and Amazon offers the first season for instant video or you can purchase it. I'm sure you'll find a way :) Where do you live?

Showtime is much less historically accurate. Season 2 and 3 are mostly fabrication (unlike Borgia Season 2).
