*Coming up on having had this saw for a year....am a casual user and bought it to cut up sections for bowl blanks. Easy to start, **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend even after storage for a couple of months. Simple chain tension adjustment. Just cut up some 20" Osage Orange, including ripping bolts in half (at an angle). Like butter!*

Stihl is definately the best saw you can buy. I grew up cutting wood in the mountains of Pennsylvania with my dad and grandfather and it's the only brand they would use. Love that sound, it reminds me of home. Thanks for sharing.

I have a huskievarna and stihl I love my stihl. I've had it for 15 years and never changed a spark plug. The oilers plug up sometimes great saw.

its a good saw but the chain on it will not be no common chain you can just pick up at lowes or home depot. im still trying to find a cheap .325 68link chain that isnt a 40 dollar stihl brand. the closest i came to was a 72 link but not sure if the bar will stretch that far

Just bought me a new one. I've been using an ms310 and ms441c to cut firewood and they're wearing me out. About half of what I cut is 16" in diameter or so. Hopefully this little 45cc saw will fill the bill. My others stihls, including a leaf blower and string trimmer have been great.

Need a bigger saw for that stuff, definitely starts like a stihl.

Do you find the MS 250 consumes more fuel than any other chainsaw? I’ve a JOMAC and it works longer between refills

I have run Stihl for over 25 years. first one was a 026 It had more zip than the 250 of today. I still have it, its worn out, I often think of rebuilding it. I am greatly disappointed in what Stihl has done with their saw line up. I have their 261 with too many safety features on it, it weighs more than the older 260 and is prone to dogging out, and takes starting cold to a new level. We do have a couple 250 for the weight issues, one I dropped a tree on, the log dropped out of the bucket as I was swinging over the saw to the pile, smack right on top. So much plastic in the new saws too. Subbing back at ya.

Those saws are pure garbage. I have never owned a saw that can be flooded so easily. I worked on mine more than I used. I bought an echo a week ago and used it for 10 hours straight put it in the barn. Picked it up again and it started right up. I’m selling this piece of crap stihl.
