Here’s a fun fact. Divine was used as a reference for the character design of Ursula in Disneys The Little Mermaid.

He was also the inspiration for ursula in the little mermaid. He was casted to voice her as well, but he died before production began.

Unforgotten 1981 Polyester the “First smelly film in film history”. Scratch and smell cards were handed out to the audience and numbers where we had to scratch were shown on the screen. It was laughable. In eternal memory of Divine from Germany.🌈🙏

It amazes me people don’t have common sense enough to know not to mess with a headstone.

"Pink Flamingos ", "Female Trouble", "Hairspray" etc. Any Divine comedy was/is candy for my brain. He was waaay before his time. I'd go visit places in Baltimore where certain scenes were filmed from his movies (all filmed without stinking permits, I might add). Divine finally made it to prime time TV before he died, the day before shooting his role as the uncle on, "Married: With Children". RIP

Someone left a pair of cha-cha heels at the grave site. Referencing the movie Female Trouble. That movie is twisted. RIP, Divine.

Thank you so much for acknowledging Divine and his being a pioneer of drag in the "mainstream." He had many talents and I wish he had lived to realize his dream of being recognized outside of drag. Seeing his headstone damaged is so disappointing. I hope it can be fixed. May he rest in peace.
