the learning curve is BRUTAL at first since there are so many mechanics and things you dont understand but once you understand the mechanics boy is it rewarding, i havent felt so good about playing a game like this since final fantasy tactics

Great analysis! Advice I would add to part 1 on being safe is to not be afraid to completely ditch a plan once the monster cards are flipped. I've seen players walk into an otherwise completely avoidable 4 or 5 hits, going from full HP to losing cards, just because they had expected the monsters to do something different but didn't want to "waste" the turn they had prepared by hanging back and doing nothing instead.

Another great video. I play the Mind Thief, mostly, and usually save my Burn/Loss cards for the Boss room/near the end, so I prolong my lifespan as long as possible. Typically, I move and stun on the first round (Perverse Edge), creating ice and setting up for the melee stun card for the following round. I typically drink my STA potion in round 1 or 2 to be able to repeat that cycle (but sometimes I'll take a round to setup Mind's Weakness aug). I'm able to Stun/Attack for the first few rounds that way (and more once I got the Greater STA potion). Once in the final room, I start combo-ing those Loss cars for maximum crowd control, party aug, and monster killinz. Usually it's pretty effective strat, especially when my friends are joining me (Tinkerer, Brute, Scoundrel, or Hatchet, depending).

This is an excellent video. Well
Organized and perfectly articulated. Well done!
I have a friend who constantly complains about how unfair GH is even though he clearly just doesn’t understand how the game works. Gloomhaven is NOT impossible by any means.

Great guide. These advices are something I learned over my time playing Gloomhaven and I cannot agree more with each one of them :). Really happy to run into a video which explained them in such detail and clarity.
Little bit of unfortunate background footage though on the first part of the video though.
Tip: Build yourself into a corner to reduce the surface area... in the background the guards draw ranged attacks on first round and obliterate Craighearts HP Pool.
Tip: only heal between rooms because you cannot out heal the enemies. Forced to heal on round 2 due to the unfortunate first round
Tip: Coordinate with team members and remember its imperfect information. The first part of video shows footage of a solo playthrough.
Feeling evil for giggling :D.
if that is at least +2 or +3 difficulty and it looks like it is... great job finishing it Barrows are something that is so annoying to do on harder difficulties.. is the 3 person setup you usually go for? I find more luck with 4 myself.
:D.
You cannot hide behind the blur :D muahahaha :D.
But yea... great tips.. but sometimes even that does not help :D.
Thnx for sharing the lost cards calculator thing did not know such a thing existed but it makes sense.. have to show it to my buddy who plays lost cards in first room with very dubious value... 4 turns? hardly.
Cheers!

Loss cards - also you can stack potions, helmets or actions that give you cards back.

Sounds good in theory- not really seen in practice
