Riot - Outlaw

Riot is a band with an interesting history. Back in the 1980's I saw the cassette tapes with the weird mascot of a warrior with a baby seal head and never checked them out. Many years later, I saw Eddie Trunk on That Metal Show saying how great they are. I gave them a listen and am glad I did. From what I read, the original singer tired of the touring and left the band. Several years later he died from asbestos poisoning caused by his job. The next singer was shot and killed when he was being robbed. The band members have changed frequently, but what hasn't changed is that each album is outstanding. They started in the late 1970's with a guitar sound similar to early Ted Nugent. As the band members changed, they morphed into a metal band. They eventually changed the official name of the band to Riot V, but it's still the same band. Give them a listen.
