This is a nice model from Bachmann. When it came out, it was one of the first non split chassis from Bachmann europe locomotive I acquired.

The main reason I decided to get this one is that most Bacann up to this point had generaly a very poor mechanism and a super high price. They now fixed the first problem on most if their models.

about the model itself, this is the locomotive as she was in pre-grouping era. There is quite a few difference between the model and her current preserved state. She has good weight and as previously mentioned, a much better mechanism that most Bachmann models of the same age. The livery is quite prototypely basic but is very well executed.

Overall, I recommend this one.

I have 100s of locomotives in my collection. Let me know in the comments what type of loco or rolling stock you would like to see next.

Ah...My father cadged a footplate ride on one, probably when stationed in South Wales in the War. he said that the coupling rods had an especially loud 'clank'.
