Magnificent Century: Kosem Episode 28 (Long Version)

Sultan Murad (Metin Akdülger) learns that Kösem Sultan wants to kill him. Learning that his mother has agreed with the chief physician, Sultan Murad sends Emir Çelebi's head to Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay). Learning that Sinan Pasha is a traitor, Valide Kösem Sultan realizes that she has been exposed. He is helplessly cornered. Knowing that Sultan Murad will not stop anymore, Kösem Sultan takes measures to protect Şehzade İbrahim.

Despite all the precautions of the Persians, Sultan Murad IV conquers Baghdad. He appoints Kemankeş Mustafa Pasha as the vizier and sends him against Shah Safi.

Returning from Baghdad, Sultan Murad becomes debilitated by the war wounds he received. Sultan Murad, whose disease progresses well, falls into bed. Kösem Sultan, who learns that Sultan Murad's condition is bad, waits for his son. Mother and son settle accounts on the sickbed.

Sultan Murad decides not to leave the state to his mother. He will destroy the dynasty if necessary. He determines a candidate who will come to the throne after himself. Will Kösem Sultan allow Sultan Murad to destroy the dynasty?

Sultan Murad (Metin Akdülger), who does not want to leave the state to his mother Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay), decides to destroy the dynasty. He will leave the throne to the khan of Crimea after him. For this reason, he gives the death warrant of both Şehzade İbrahim and Kösem Sultan...

While Kösem Sultan escapes from execution at the last moment, Şehzade İbrahim faces the executioners. Sultan Murad's illness is getting worse and worse. Sultan Murad, who doesn't have much time anymore, makes tougher decisions.

What will Sultan Murad decide about Kemankeş, who learns that Kemankeş (Ismail Demirci) betrayed him?

Atike Sultan (Ece Çeşmioğlu) hides Şehzade İbrahim (Aybars Düzey). Sultan Murad is looking for him everywhere. Prince Ibrahim wants to be executed in front of his eyes.

Sultan Murad, who is on his deathbed, comes to terms with his mother Kösem Sultan for the last time.

Magnificent Century: Kosem is about Kosem Sultan married to the "State-i Aliyya", when her six-year-old son ascended to the throne, having the position of "Regent of the Sultanate", as well as the power gained by defeating all her enemies and becoming a sultan who brought the world to her knees with her regency. Got so attached with this Sultan Murad character, suffering betrayals upon betrayals and trying to hold it all together for his people, assuring their safety, standing up against aggressors, traitors, asserting order n state authority, n fighting against his power hungry scheming n plotting mother- it makes me so so sad seeing his end - his children all getting died n his mom not even greeting after battle of baghdad, - but what a Sultan he was ! His sister even more worried about other brother n not about the dying brother !

Murad is absolutely right here, Ottom state suffered worst in Kosem’s days when Sultans were enthroned n dethroned in short periods, janissary killing their sultan just to ensure Kosem’s power! She dethroned mustafa for being mad but in the end put her own mad son on the throne

For me Murad was a great fighter and he participated in more wars than Asmed and Osman. Suieleman was number one in going on differents campaign and to participate in different wars. No other Sultan was going to war more than Suieleman with the exception of Murad II, Kosem' s son.
