King's of the Wyld is an amazing and so funny read. There are some more obscure rock references, but most are fairly obvious and it leans more on the comedy of a group that know each other so so well....

I agree having lighter reads on your TBR definitely helps overall. Hope you enjoy your reads this month.

I hope you will enjoy The forgetting Moon as much as I am. It's definitley a hidden gem and perfect for people who like ASOIAF and John Gwynne books.
I'm currently halfway and altough It's a big book, I'm flying through it.
This book has it all for me: deep worldbuilding, interesting characters, riveting story, mystery, epicness, a bit of action, different races, nicely written and easy to read. I love it!

I need to finish up a few series before starting a new one, but Darn It! Beginning anew with Daniel Abraham sounds so good!
Nevermoore was good. Not as good as everyone led me to believe, but good.
I loved Piranesi. I didn't at first (too many questions) but I stuck with it and by the end was watery-eyed (I don't cry at books) and a bit choked up.
I began Kings of the Wyld, but was not in the mood for it (also it was an audio book and I feel I need to physically read it) - I'll pick it up again at some point.
I'm reading Persuasion with a group of friends also. It's my favorite Austen. I hope you really enjoy it.
Sounds like some fun summer plans ahead! I hope you have safe, enjoyable trip and make lots of memories!

Looks like you have an exciting month ahead of you!
Yay for Nevermoor!! I binged those first three books at the start of this year and absolutely adored them, they are some of the best MG I've read!
And I can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Forgetting Moon! I really wanted to join that buddy read, but I am participating in the Indie Accords Readathon, so that's going to take priority! Hope you have a blast though! Happy reading ❤‍🔥

Same here -- since I've read LPQ I want more Daniel Abraham. So I might continue with his newest Age of Ash. But Dagger and Coin and also The Expanse sound very tempting.
Piranesi blew my mind and is definitely in my top five. I would be very curious to hear your thoughts.
Nevermoor is just quirky and has some nice imaginative features. I think you'll love it. Enjoy July, Sarah!

I had Things Fall Apart on my TBR for probably a decade and finally read it last summer. Blew me away, one of the best books I've ever read. Hope you enjoy!

You have some great books on your TBR. Empire of Pain is incredibly well-researched and quite infuriating. Nevermoor is great, and each book in the series gets better. Piranesi and Hamnet were both 5⭐️ books for me, and I hope you have the same experience. Kings of the Wyld is a fun romp. Happy reading.

July tends to be a busy month for me as well. Hopefully your vacation is fun and exciting or just relaxing whichever one you need. I'm trying to do only short books Death Masks is the longest book on my TBR for July.
