Bocchi the Rock follows the story of Hitori "Bocchi-chan" ("Lonely") Got is a lonely high school girl with a heart for music. She does nothing but strums her guitar by herself at home every day. However, one day she meets Nijika Ijichi, who is looking for a guitarist for her band, "Kessoku Band." when their guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, flees before their first show. Soon after, Bocchi meets her final bandmate—the cool bassist Ryou Yamada.

Although their first performance together is subpar, the girls feel empowered by their shared love for music, and they are soon rejoined by Kita. Finding happiness in performing, Bocchi and her bandmates put their hearts into improving as musicians while making the most of their fleeting high school days.

Unlike most introverted anime characters, bocchi has an actual personality and goals that's more than just making friends, and she's actually self aware and acknowledge that she needed to change and is trying to. She's not a shallow representation of a shy introverted person like komi, the other bocchi, and other shy characters primarily in romcoms.

One thing I love about bocchi is that it’s accurate to the life of a musician learning your instrument, creating a home studio, and then having to learn to play with other people it’s also animated to be accurate to what’s actually played and not just random hand movements

What i like about the anime is that it shows the 3 common types of introverts. Hitori, the Socially akward/anxious & Introvert. Ryo, the *"I dont really give a F about what others think of me."* Finally we have Nijika, the Socially Friendly introvert who doesnt mind talking to other people but still prefers to be in a small group of friends (Kesoku Band).
