Where as the "old" R8 V10 was always significantly calmer than the Gallardo version this one really comes close once it comes to tone, loudness and pops & bangs. In particular once you order the Sports Exhaust (Sportabgasanlage) which is fitted onto this car. Things that I'm wondering about in the new ferraris and lambo huracan are controls: blinkers on the steering wheel, shifting paddles on the steering column(don't move with the steering wheel). Which one do you like more, as you have driven both: classic, like in audi or the way ferraris and huracan do that?

Great review & without doubt, the new R8 is a smashing prospect within it's segment! Realized it actually shares the multi-function steering switch-gear with my Seat Leon 1.2 TSI :-)

Heute gab es auf der Autobahn ein Orgasmus-Battle: Ein R8 V10 plus wie der hier im Video gegen einen E63 M6 V10 auf einer ziemlich leeren A2/A3. Der M6 hatte letztendlich das nachsehen. Ich hatte kaum eine Chance dran zu bleiben. Natürlich nur, um möglichst lange den Sound genießen zu können, keineswegs um mich mit denen zu messen, da fehlen mir etwa 250 PS^^

that blue + the german plate makes this the best looking R8 i've ever seen. makes the other R8 look basic.
