Dave, me being a retired auto repair shop owner recently when my wife wanted a new car we bought a RAV 4. IMO this is a vehicle where you may get more than you paid for. Not only did Toyota strive for quality something no other manufactures were putting at the forefront, Toyota was sending out newsletters and bulletins how to fix problems to keep a happy customer and this was before the right to repair act passed in Mass. which gave us All Data and a host of other info providers. My service manager called his counter part at one of the big 3 dealers for some info in hopes of some help diagnosing one of theirs and was intentionally given the wrong information and the big 3 wonder why Toyota and Honda ate their lunch. Making huge mistakes which dealers thought would force the customers into their facilities backfired, instead they has disgruntled customers switch to these other brands. 1500 a year for insurance on 1 car? I have 3 vehicles, 2 with full coverage and a 4 wheeler with full coverage for 1600 a year for all of them.
