Bristol was one of the most bombed cities in the UK. And I've walked past that sign so many times and never even noticed it

There's also a piece of the UK here in North Carolina. Oddly enough, it's because of the same war (though the way it works is a bit different.)
In the outer banks, on Okracoke island, there are the graves of a few British sailors, from a boat that was sunk by uboats during WWII. The graves are classes as British soil, and a Union Jack is raised and lowered (on special occasions.)

How is it possible that Tom Scott hasn't aged in the last 7 years?

As a native Brit, born during WW2,  I have taken great comfort from knowing that where I live is literally supported by old English bricks etc. One nice piece of trivia; Cary Grant dedicated the plaque at Waterside Plaza that is shown in this video. He was born in Bristol.

An interesting fact about Bristol - which I'd hoped you might cover when you mentioned the city - is that the city centre is constructed on top of a harbour, which itself is part of the River Avon ("River River"), its course having been diverted in order to construct the so-called floating harbour.

Back in 96 I ate a delicious shepherd's pie, it was so good that I had a second helping, 2 days later I was in New York and left a little bit of England, too. It was incredibly dense and it would not surprise me in the slightest if it was later secured and earmarked  by the Bureau of Water and Sewer Operations for use as landfill.

Similar to the stories around the bricks of Stockholm's Castle.
I live in a town south of Stockholm called Nyköping, which is also quite famous for its castle, and various tragedies that took place there. Our castle has been torn-down and rebuilt a few times. In the late 1600s (I believe bordering 1700) our castle burned down, and coincidentally the castle up in Stockholm burned down as well, at roughly the same time, at the time they even shared many architectural elements.
Perhaps we had a crazed arsonist touring Sweden looking for castles to burn to the ground roaming about at the time, but I digress.

Anyway, in order to rebuild Stockholm's castle, they took material from castles all over Sweden, including most of Nyköping's castle. We still have one tower remaining, and three out of four casemates I believe, but not much else remains.
Sadly the old architecture wasn't preserved in the new castle, instead we now have a boring brown box acting as a castle up in Stockholm. Quite sad really.
