This is a comparison between With Central Difflock and Without Central Diff Lock on a Discovery TD5.
CDL command was a homemade one.
As you will see, CDL is very useful on a permanent 4WD even if the Traction control (TC) is ON.

do they make brake pads for wet conditions? it could help traction control work better.

So basically awd vs standard 4wd. Both with Traction control.

I hate when Central diff locks is spoke like it's something special when really you should just be automatic on every off-road all wheel drive vehicle. So when a guy in a Jeep goes from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive it's the same as I just go locking the center diff to make the front and rear drive shafts locked together in the transfer case AKA standard four-wheel drive. The fact that they made some not do that is what makes the central diff lock seem special but it shouldn't be should be basic because all it is is standard 4-wheel drive when you lock it. Now if you're showing a test of locking an axle diff yeah that's awesome that's worthy of special

You’re just going to detonate your transfer diff… stop that. Just put diff lock in before you need it.
