Veg-Table by Nik Sharma | Full Review

Nik Sharma is a cookbook author, blogger, and food journalist with a background in microbiology. He’s probably best known for his previous book - The Flavor Equation.

Nik says his goal with Veg-Table is “to give you techniques, flavors, and ideas — with foundations in science and in history, to become an inventive and frequent vegetable home cook.”

As always, my goal is to cook at least 10% of the book over the course of 5 days.

And with a total of 109 recipes, that means I need to make at least 11, but I couldn’t say no to a couple of extras this week so we ended up with 14.

I love these cookbook reviews so much, they’ve gotten me leaving sticky notes in my recipe books and trying more of them out instead of letting them collect dust

Without a doubt, your channel on both YouTube and TikTok has become my new favorite cooking channel! The long-format videos are a blast to watch, and I'm learning a ton from how you analyze the dishes and get exposure to all the different cuisines I dont have easy access to
As an aspiring home cook, my goal is to become a pro chef for my family, and seeing that you two are essentially living that life gives me inspiration and motivation <3

I have a rather unusual question - is there any place where I can learn how to properly organize my fridge and store all kinds of produce correctly? I feel like I'm messing it up somehow.

Well done and competently edited. I enjoyed watching the two of you enjoying working together. Excellent commentary on the book's flaws.

What brand of black vinegar do y’all use? I love it at our local dumpling place, but I can’t find a good one!

Omg the design of the cookbook for sure sounds annoying! I literally agreed aloud as you spoke about it.

Thanks for the review! P.111 "Chilli Beets + Lima Beans with Cucumber Olive Salad" was really good. The Cauliflower Bolognese is terrible, skip it.
