Attention No Gi grapplers and wrestlers – today’s Martial Arts Monday episode is for you! Judoka have always known that throwing an opponent is a powerful skill, but UFC and MMA have shown the world how important it is to have a strong throwing game. Although we wear a uniform in Judo, a lot of the techniques can be done without it, and many of our students train in Gi and No Gi in order to be fully rounded fighters. Today, we are going to showcase three incredibly effective NO GI Judo throws that every wrestler and grappler should have in their arsenal! Check it out to learn more!

The International Judo Federation should recognize a No Gi Judo Competitive category just like BJJ. It would modernize Judo and make it more practical.

Excellent instruction! 1st gi, then immediately no gi for each throw. Well done pedagogy!

When your throws are so fast your opponent only has time to breakfall with his feet - nice. 😂And great vid, thanks.

Hi Sensei, really glad to find your video(s) ... having a deep description of all these techniques. I like how you depict the same technique(s) in different situation(s). Well done to you and to your young crew. It is a good refresh for me to see your video(s). Always ..., practice practice and practice! Oss.

I did a flying makikomi in bjj competition had my righ grip deep on the back and he ducked under my arm trying to rotate around me to take my back but I just let him rotate to my back and timed my makikomi as he was walking behind me turned my hip in the air he landed dricetly on his shoulder legs straight in the air the rolled onto his back and I pushed my hip in and got the kesa gatami position

Great stuff I'm a bjj guy but I learned a lot from this video and others to complement my game and I actually prefer no gi for judo

The drop knee Seio Nage just took a mila second but it was heard. Osoto makikomi is in the top favorites over here!!! Will there be more no gi videos in the future? Along with the judo videos of course.

I was banned by my instructor from doing makikomi cause i was just beating everyone in the club with it during shei. He is big on having a variety and not be a one trick judoka
