It is NOT the job of the Senate to call witnesses unless they are calling witnesses that spoke in the Impeachment Trial for clarification. If the Impeachment Articles are good enough to Impeach, they should stand on their own. If they do not, they never should have been sent to the Senate.

The defense... No investigation took place despite suggestions for asking, funds were not withheld past the due date. The president has the right to fire certain people / positions. The president has the right to evaluate funds being released to other countries, there was call for reason to investigate Ukraine / past vice president possible wrongdoings and or involvement. I'm guessing what's going to be the defense... While. People are going to be home doing their taxes, much easier for most, and thinking about the economy / jobs and safety / security for family and Country.. while these two sides duke it out 4 hours and hours, because they hate each other, or at least one side hates the other side so much for the last 3 years or so
