The new research vehicle F 015 Luxury in Motion has its world premiere at theConsumer Electronics Show, and provides a concrete example of the visionary ideas the company is developing with regard to autonomous driving of the future. With this self-driving luxury saloon Mercedes-Benz illustrates how the car is growing beyond its role as a mere means of transport and will ultimately become a private retreating space. This new way of travelling gives passengers the freedom to use their valuable time on the road in manifold ways.

I love this concept. Epic!!! But can I imagine a world where this kind of vehicle  is affordable for the average driver. No. But I still want one. 😝.

Overall no doubt an interesting vehicle. I wonder who was the inventor of the rear door opening from the centre of the car concept ? This feature should be practical enough to implement even on present generation cars..like on existing newer Rolls-Royce saloons. This makes it easier for rear passengers to get in/out the vehicle.

A minor negative detail i have to note is i see no need to illuminate the 3-pointed star in front..unless it serves some functional purposes ? Would prefer they just use the chrome plated star like on existing models instead or better still just stick to the classic upright-standing star protruding from the bonnet..this does serve a functional purpose in that it lets the occupants of the car know where the front limits of the vehicle are by just looking down the windscreen, just like on existing models !

Besides self-driving cars & trucks, the next logical progression would have to be self-driving buses. It would be great to have driverless Citaro articulated city buses without the need to be guided by O-Bahn trackways intelligently dealing with city traffic, thus being able to transport more people into even the more obscure corners of a city without the rigidity constrains of a conventional subway system on rails or O-Bahn trackways.

If it does not have a manual transmission, true four wheel drive with solid live axles, I do not want it. Where I live a car like this would be good for only about 7 months of the year. It would have to be parked through winter and spring. Winter would have 23 centimeters of snow on the ground and Spring would have wide spread flooding and storms producing lots of road debris.

I'm not a hater congrats. But you guys went to far. Number 1 it don't look like a car it looks like lady Gaga design this shit. Also it don't behave like a car. US car lovers we like to control with our ability the car. That's wat makes driving fun. You guys lost the main picture of a car.
