The clan had been going on for 800 years, her goal itself could not be "have a kid to continue kozuki line" in the hopes that it would last without her for all that time.

Unless the argument is that SHE was the true kozuki clan member and Oda and his ancestors were actually not.

And they wanted to make sure HER bloodline made it to the future, THAT would make some sense.
