Thats so sad, a hug can feel so good. Especially when you are down or something, just a simple hug can mean the world to you.

But it is what it is, given what Pika told about her life so far, Im not surprised with the way she is (which is why I looove that tackles some of it by working out in a gym and cutting our some unhealthy habits).

I come from a country where family practically gives kisses, so every time you go to some obscure aunt you've seen maybe twice in your life they all hug you and kiss you and it's different.
But then when you grow up you kinda see the bigger picture, we only have so little time on earth and we see each other so infrequently
I think it's our fault more than theirs.

Hugs are weird when you think about it, but it really means someone respects you enough to bring you in that close to their person. It's letting your guard down momentarily

It's good that Pikka doesn't have a Latin American family, here in this part of the world we hug each other and so on. And that in my country it is not as much as in others.
What's more, until before the pandemic, it was normal for women to say goodbye with a kiss on the cheek.
