My homeowners insurance is $109.00 per month not $1.09 per month. Thank you all for pointing out my mistake. I really appreciate it! 😂❤

Living on a budget doesn't mean you are poor. Like you, I never talked about money. My parents taught me it was rude. But the downside is I never learned how to save or invest until I turned 60 and panicked when I realized I had nothing for retirement. I started my own business, paid off all my debt ($30K), built an emergency fund, focused on my health and got my finances in order. Now 4 years later, I'm financially secure but not rich nor do I ever expect to be. Comfortable is just fine with me.

Thank you. This was very helpful....

I love to repeat what my ancestors said throughout the Great Depression, "I've been broke throughout my life (including now), but I have never been poor. Poor is a state of mind."

I loved this video. I didnt save for retirement. My husband didn't either. I am flying solo at 68. Tightening the bootstraps and climbing myself out of my debt. My health took a turn in July. Had a stroke and am now diabetic. Never took meds before. Now I do. Working gig apps to help my budget. God will provide and keep me moving forward. I save my coins and dollar bills also.

I retired at age 53, so I am in my early 60s. Many of them resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if it wasn't necessary. I considered the phases of my life. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." In my instance, I departed the nation after retiring and currently reside in Latin America. It made it possible for me to appreciate my new surroundings while escaping all the bad things that were going on in America. Nobody that I know of regrets retiring has yet to come to me.

I have a good friend in Asheville, NC. She posted on FB this morning, and I was so relieved. No power or cell service for a week, so she could not contact anyone to let everyone know she was ok. Her and her husband have been helping the community. So many without water, power, etc. still. I love your attitude. I think being grateful and your mindset has a lot to do with how you view life, and you radiate positivity.

You are a wise woman who manages her money well, and lives within her means. Thanks for sharing, even though you didn’t have to. It just shows how we can make the most of what we have. Love your channel, very helpful, and I always learn something!

You are certainly not poor! You seem to have a great understanding of where your money is and where it goes and that is so wise! You are being careful with what you have and making good decisions about what is a need and what is a want. I budget all of our money very closely and I am so grateful to God for how he has blessed me! I am not rich by the world’s standards either, but comfortable and rich in blessings! First time viewer. I really enjoyed your transparency! Have a great day! 😊

You have been wise with your budget and having no debt. I think the government is doing the best they can in the short time and the lack of manpower. So much damage all over it will take time, now people need food and water and a safe place to be. Nothing is ever instant! I live in PA and went thru the Agnes Flood. Been there done that.

Hi Robin, I wrote several months ago. I make several hundreds less. I rent but my groceries went up from 20 each of us a week to 30 each of us a week. my husband and I. My husband got a side hustle this week cleaning an office. He just got his green card. And I am repairing my 21 year old car. The car will take 3 months to repair but it runs well. I don't feel poor but cash strapped right now.

Good morning Robin 🎄 We are also debt free, mortgage free, and own our car. I know on paper we are considered POOR! But I make more than I spend and we eat just fine. We are not lacking in any areas so I do not feel poor. I actually consider myself to be rich because I do not have to worry about things like will I be able to pay my bill or will I be able to buy food. Thank you for sharing!
