I love the fact that you can listen to unreleased songs and the live performances on YouTube Music without having to download stuff.

The algorithm for the different automated Mixes and autoplay based on choosing a single song is unmatched!

As a YouTube Premium/Music subscriber myself I couldn’t agree more! (I have the annual plan) The main reason I switched (from Apple Music) was because of the wider range of song selections especially in more niche genres.

Agreed! Youtube premium + music is so good, and people would look at me funny when I said I use Youtube music instead of Spotify, which I find really weird and annoying as people don't know the potential it has. It is also really good value, after using it for a year and a half I have to say it is really worth it, to have ad free normal Youtube and Youtube music too.

Night and day difference between Youtube Music and others is that with YTM you need to interact with the app even less than other apps. With others you have to every now and then to open the app to skip a song or do something since the app gets you wrong. With Youtube Music you don’t need to do that. You press play, get on with your life and the app presents you what you actually want to listen without needing to think about it.

FACTS! I use it everyday day alongside regular YouTube Premium. Getting both for one price is an amazing deal.

YouTube Music is Goated, for some reason my Account doesn’t get ads so I just start my playlist, lower my brightness to the minimum, and put my phone faced down. Listen to all the Sonic Music I want to for Free without ads!

YT Music has TERRIBLE UI for making playlists is the biggest con.
Spotify just made their UI worse so now the playing fields somewhat even ffs.

One thing to note about YouTube music is that the Chromecast experience is the best. When you're casting to a group of speakers and want to move the music around dynamically to different speakers in the Home App the YT Music app stays connected. So if you have a bunch of Chromecast audio devices in your home like I do it makes it very easy to cast and not get frustrated with things getting disconnected. So I can cast on my indoor speakers and then when I go outside I can add my deck speakers and not get disconnected and the music is seamlessly added to the new speaker. Another thing that works really well on YouTube Music casting is you can have multiple people join the casting session and both can add songs to the playlist which is neat when you have people over.

I switched to YouTube Music from Apple Music almost a year ago, and haven’t looked back. It’s not as stylish, but it works really well, and I have all the music I want. And once the algorithm is trained a little bit, it really is great at giving me songs I want to listen to.

I actually use youtube music for free, well... a modified youtube music app that removes ads and adds background play. The only reason I'm not paying for it, is because I can't.
