This is so cool. It reminds me of the pool a friend of mine had when we were kids (in the 70s). Her father had installed a metal stock pond/pool like this at the back of their yard. It was raised higher than the rest of the yard, and he had put cement around it, so it was like an inground pool. I really wish my husband and I were handy and could do projects like this.

I really appreciate how you’re showing us so many great products that can be used in our own homes and yards. Some might call this a “commercial, ” but I’ve already got ideas for the water hydrant (ours need replacing) and the stone!

That's just too COOL right there. Awesome addition, just don't dive from the upper deck into it. Thanks for sharing April, will be watching for the other videos to come on the deck build. Fred.

I would be concerned that the plywood wall has a weather barrier on one side, but not on the other, even though both sides are at least partially exposed to the elements, and also has no protection from above. It would be longer lasting if there were a properly flashed water-proofing layer under the pool to act as a roof to the curved wall that the stone attaches to below. I picture water sitting on that top edge of plywood and rotting it away, or getting behind the Typar and doing damage that way.
