Stede Bonnet's pirate flag | G&G #shorts

Whenever Bonnet was within range of a prize, he'd fire a warning shot and hoist the black colors to force their surrender. He has usually been attributed this flag, depicting a a skull over a bone, with a dagger on one side and a heart at the other. Whilst it is one of my favorite designs, it is a modern fabrication that has not been corraborated by period sources.

the wig is probably (mostly) inaccurate but maybe to remember his statu as a gentilhomme (as someone that used to be respectable in the society) and not a brutal criminal like Low and few others. The clothes and wig were maybe the first thing that pop in the mind of the artist when he hear about Bonnet: a used to be gentilhomme.
